About the image

I found Muhammad Ali tall, imposing, and I thought, too quiet. It made me wonder what his thoughts were. We did different shots. There was a bird cage filled with white doves but the picture didn't turn out...He was pleasant and cooperative, though my impression was he’d rather not be photographed. But he made an effort to be present, and he smiled----but just a little.
