This is the first photograph Barbara ever took of Steve. It 's captured in Denver, Colorado, where they met up for a little vacation. Steve stares directly into Barbara's lens with his eyes scrunched up and his mouth ajar. The sun is directly behind his head, lighting his silouette at the edges, which imbues him with an ethereal presence.
