About the image
Steve flew the Stearman solo to the Watsonville Fly-in and Air Show to exhibit it in the air show scene for the first time. Whilst at the show Steve didn't want to be recognized, he wanted the attention to be on his beautiful plane and not him. He somehow found a giant red bonnet, which Barbara hated with vengance, and chose to wear that to go 'incognito' for the rest of the day. People in the crowd didn't recognize him, but did think him a bit of a nutter!
