After earning his pilot's license in July 1979, Steve purchased an emerald green Pitcairn. He was extremely proud to own the only Pitcairn PA-8 Mailwing in flying condition. Steve looks stern in bonnet and goggle as he taxis the Pitcairn out of his regular airport in Santa Paula.
