About the image

Marilyn Monroe lies nude on an ethereally white bed with her leg in the air. Her body is swathed and hidden from view by a light sheet. Marilyn turns her head back to the camera, her gaze seductive, and her eyebrows arched. "I never quite understood it, this sex symbol. But if I'm going to be a symbol of something, I'd rather have it sex than some of the other things they've got symbols for." - Marilyn.
