Mick Jagger and Linda Ronstadt, Malibu, CA 1976

About the image
Ronnie Wood’s house in Malibu was a magnet for musicians, and Linda was just one of many talented female singers who dropped in to add their voices to the all-night jam sessions. I can’t begin to count the extraordinary number of musicians you would find playing in Ronnie’s front room, but they included The Band (Robbie Robertson and Rick Danko), Harry Nillson, Van Dyke Parks, Neil Young and, of course, whichever S happened to be in town. Linda Ronstadt lived up the road, and her manager was Peter Asher (originally one half of the singing duo, Peter and Gordon), another Malibu inhabitant.
I particularly like this photograph because Mick looks so naughty whilst Linda (slightly out of focus!) looks dreamy.
