About the image

"The Chateau Amicitia was built in 1899 by Eugene Thomas the banker. In 1916 it became the property of Alexandre Bordes the shipowner. His wife Nelly had a house in the USA called Nelly's Cottage. That is the way the Chateua Amicitia became Nellcote." - Dominique Tarlé
