Mick Taylor made his debut with the Stones at a July 5th free concert in London’s Hyde Park that was attended by an estimated quarter of a million people. The concert launched the 1969 tour while at the same time paying tribute to Brian Jones. Taylor remained in the band until December 1974.
This shot is from 1971, when the Stones were recording Exile on Main Street in the south of France.
