Various members of The Rolling Stones and their guests read the morning papers on the back steps of Nellcôte.
Writer Robert Greenfield can be seen here looking over some notes from his lengthy interview with Keith for Rolling Stone Magazine. A long article on the experience would be published alongside many of Tarlé's photographs a few weeks after this photo, and later he further developed it into the book Exile on Main St. A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones (Da Capo Press, 2006).
Featured in the photo L-R are: Tommy Webber, Mick Jagger, Ian Stuart, Keith Richards, Robert Greenfield and two un-identified guests - please contact us if you know!
"We didn't have a TV at Nellcôte, so we never saw the news, but we used to read English papers. The Vietnam War was coming to an end, and Angela Davis was in jail." - Mick Taylor
