Jimi Hendrix, "Classic Colour" is a revision of the original black & white "Classic" portrait of Jimi. Gered has frequently experimented with colorizing and manipulating his original photographs using a variety of creative techniques. In this case he has taken the iconic b&w portrait and added vibrant tone to Jimi's clothing and jewlery - based on his memory of their actual colors. This image was used on the front cover of his book, Jimi Hendrix at Mason's Yard (2010). This edition is a photographic reproduction of the original he created.
