About the image

A portrait of Jimi with his eyes boring through the camera as he grips both edges of the military jacket he is wearing. While military jackets became popular in the '60's, nobody wore them with quite as much flamboyance as Jimi. This print features bright hallucinogenic oranges, purples, blacks and golds created by Gered in '94 from the original photograph taken at a studio session in '67.
