This painting delivers a powerful, celestial homage to Pink Floyd lyricist and co-founder, Roger Waters.
This evocative piece directly channels the mystical energy of the band's early psychedelic era, drawing its concept from Waters' hypnotic, space-rock masterpiece, "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" from the band's second album A Saucerful of Secrets.
According to David Gilmour, this is the only song of the band's entire catalog that features all FIVE members on the album recording. Both David Gilmour and Syd Barrett recorded parts in the studio in 1967 that ended up on the record.
