"The four of us were in Neil's rented beach house there in Hawaii. We had been working on an album that was going to be called Human Highway . The last day we were there, I realized that we didn't have an image of that moment. I also thought we might need an album cover, so I borrowed Stephen's Hasselblad. I worked out the exposure, set it down in the sand, looked through the viewfinder, composed the picture, and had my friend Harry Harris press the trigger. There was only one shot."
