Rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry performing at the Lewisham Odeon in south London, circa 1973.

Berry's musical career enjoyed a resurgence in the early '60s due to many of the British invasion acts - most notably The Beatles and The Rolling Stones - releasing cover versions of his songs. 

In 1984, Berry was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
