About the image

Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones went to the Monterey Pop Festival to enjoy the festivities and briefly appeared onstage to introduce Jimi Hendrix who had been taking London by storm that year. The Stones are said to not have performed due to the denial of work visas from the band's recent drug arrests.
