About the image

"Outside Johnny Cash's recording studio in Hendersonville, TN, in about 1974. You can see how comfortable Waylon Jennings and Johnny are together. These are two friends hanging out together." --Jim Marshall (p. 103, Not Fade Away, 1997)

Jim Marshall shared the "Outlaw" label that both Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings wore as well. He once wrote about Jennings, "one of the reasons why I love him is that he's a fucking outlaw, like me. He does it all his way." (p. 105, Not Fade Away, 1997)

Release Notes:

This is a signed original Lifetime Photograph by Jim Marshall.
