About the image
The photograph was taken in Macon, GA and Marshall stenciled the name of the band and album onto one of their flight cases and had the roadies stack them up for the shoot.  Released in 1971, this double live album is one of the Allman’s best selling records and ranks at #49 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

There is also a great "Jim Marshall story" attached to this image that explains why they are all laughing in this shot.

Collector's Note:
This is a signed photograph. Jim Marshall’s iconic photographs are now extraordinarily rare, as very few were printed and signed at the time of his passing. A small inventory is still held by the estate. Please contact us for pricing and availability.
