The Beatles, Exiting Plane, SFO, 1966

By Jim Marshall
About the image

The Beatles exit their plane at San Francisco Airport on August 29, 1966. Later that evening they performed what would become their last official concert, at Candlestick Park, although they also made an unannounced live appearance in January 1969 on the London rooftop of their Apple headquarters. Jim Marshall was the only photographer allowed backstage to this final concert.

Release Notes:

This is a signed original Lifetime Photograph by Jim Marshall.

Lifetime Photographs were typically:

  • Printed as 11" x 14" or 16" x 20" (sheet size), and were not designated as limited editions (with very few exceptions).

  • Produced as silver gelatin prints (black & white), or C-prints and pigment prints (color), and occasionally as platinum and dye-transfer prints.

  • Pieces will usually ship within a few days of purchase.
