Waylon Jennings, the country singer who called everyone ‘Hoss’ was working his way around the perimeters of the modern country scene, avoiding the Grand Ole Opry and trying to build a new constituency among long-haired, doper rock fans, when Jim took this after-show picture backstage at the Boarding House in San Francisco.
