Wes Montgomery and John Coltrane performing together at the Monterey Jazz Festival on Friday, September 22, 1961. Wes Montgomery and Eric Dolphy briefly joined forces with Coltrane at the SF Jazz Workshop two weeks prior, and played this Jazz festival as the John Coltrane Sextet.
