Jurgen Vollmer took these photographs during a performance at the Top Ten Club. Images from these sessions were used to advertise the Beatles' forthcoming shows at the club during the Spring of 1961.
This was right about the time Stu Sutcliffe resigned from the band but before Paul purchased the classic Hofner violin bass, which he did during this visit to Hamburg.
