About the image
Elvis Presley reading a card with a young Nancy Sinatra at Fort Dix in New Jersey after being stationed for two years in Germany.  Nancy was sent to greet Elvis at the airport by her father as Elvis was to appear on Frank Sinatra's Television special The Frank Sinatra Timex Show: Welcome Home Elvis to celebrate his return to the US.

"Elvis clearly hadn't lost his magical allure. He was in his prime; in great spirits; and ready to get out of the army, get back to making a lot of money, and sleep with a lot of babes. America's most famous and beloved sergeant was about to resume civilian life as the one and only King of Rock 'n' Roll." - Ken Regan.
