Hank Aaron, Batting Cage, c. 1964
By Ken Regan
About the image
Milwaukee Braves outfielder Hank Aaron in the batting cage prior to a game.
Though his career is often defined by his 755 career home runs, the story of Hammerin' Hank's baseball life runs much deeper. He was a dominant all-around player, finishing his 23-year career with a .305 batting average and a record 21 All-Star appearances. In 1982, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Hank Aaron remains one of the most collectible athletes of his generation.
