About the image

A paranoid Dennis Hopper carries a rifle in the middle of the New Mexico desert, circa 1970. This was during the making of The Last Movie - starring Peter Fonda, Henry Jaglom and Michelle Phillips (Hopper's eventual ex-wife) - a film studio execs were eager to cash in on following the success of Easy Rider.
