Frank Zappa, Sheik Yerbouti Album Cover, 1979
By Lynn Goldsmith
About the image
Frank Zappa dons an Arab headdress for the satirical cover of his 1979 album, Sheik Yerbouti. The title is a play on words; the name, meant to resemble an Arabic transcription, is pronounced like the title of KC and the Sunshine Band's 1976 disco hit "Shake Your Booty."
