The Plantation Inn Motel once resided at 3100 Webster Street in San Francisco's Marina district. This shot was taken in 1980. "It remains a mystery where one might find a plantation in San Francisco, not to mention who could afford such real estate. Equally questionable was the attraction of an outdoor pool in the Bay Area's not-quite-tropical climate, evidence of neon's power to create enticing illusions." - Erik S. McMahon
