About the image
Photographed across two days at the historic Sarum Chase Estate in West London and Swarkestone Hall Pavillion in Derbyshire, the Beggar's Banquet series includes some of the most intricate compositions in all of Rock & Roll photography.

Michael Joseph reports that the Stones arrived promptly at 11AM for their shoot - a shock no doubt in and of itself - and that he had only two hours to get the shots they needed. He and his team had the entire room fully dressed and several live animals ready and waiting when they arrived. They were outfitted in costumes befitting the eclectic setting and pulled together an extraordinary selection of outstanding images.
