Pat Johnson

b.1939
Originally from Cleveland, Pat Johnson has been a professional photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area since the 1970's. His primary passions for photographic subjects lie in landmark and historical Rock and Roll stars who are innovators and legendary Rock figures. Spanning four decades of Rock History, his subjects include The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, David Bowie, James Brown, The Jackson Five, The Grateful Dead, The Clash, Joan Baez, Toupac Shakour, Green Day, Snoop Dog and many more.

While Pat's principal area of achievement has been in music, he has also captured many sports and entertainment related subjects. His passion for photography is evidenced by his wide array of images and style. His subjects all feel the passion and his "Cleveland" sense of humor, helping him to win over the toughest of characters. "You have to be kind of crazy to be in this business. Every day, every shoot, every situation is different, with a different set of challenges. You have to work to be creative."
