About the image

George Harrison and Don Nix fishing off the coast of Catalina Island, near Lover's Cove in the summer of 1971.

George began planning The Concert for Bangladesh in June of 1971, and soon after got in touch with famed Memphis muscian and producer Don Nix to help them arrange backup singers for the concert. The three met up in Los Angeles and took advantage of a rare day off to charter a boat and sail off the coast of California.
