This portrait had the significance of previously not existing even as a surviving contact sheet, until the original 5/4 negative was discovered in an unmarked folder in the early seventies! I’m embarrassed to remember I had not provided any kind of hair or make up professional for the shoot. I asked Mick if he could remove his headgear for some Uncapped Stone portraits he had to retreat to a nearby bathroom and fix his own hair with a comb!
