The Beatles, Proposed Revolver Album Cover Montage, 1966
By Robert Freeman
About the image
Freeman created the imagery for the Beatles five previous albums, so when the time came to produce the art for their latest album Revolver, he came up with this concept, an image that captured the revolving images of each of the Beatles. The band ended up going with a design by their friend Klaus Voormann, who used some of Freeman's images in his design as well.
