About the image
John Lennon of The Beatles  playing guitar in Japan, circa June 1966. The Asian leg of the tour was controversial as right-wing Japanese nationalists protested the staging of their concerts in Tokyo at the Nippon Budokan, the two-year-old martial arts hall beside the Imperial Palace grounds.
