Peter Wolf was the lead vocalist for the J. Geils Band from 1967 to 1982. In 1981, the J. Geils Band opened for The Rolling Stones as part of a world-wide tour, and a friendship was struck between Wolf and Stones guitarist Keith Richards. Wolf's 2002 solo album, Sleepless, featured a guest appearance by Richards.
