About the image

This piece is a montage of portraits of each of the members of The Rolling Stones performing onstage in a layered design that mimics the appearance of the large scale monitors seen at their live concerts. The pale tones of the illustration above and behind the central imagery are wonderfully contrasted with a black background and vibrant colors used in the foreground.

The Famous Flames Suite:
In this series of images, Ronnie Wood pays tribute to the legendary R&B group, the Famous Flames in which James Brown got his start with Please Please, Please in 1957. No doubt an homage to the early beginnings of the music that inspired Ronnie himself to become a musician, these portraits of the Rolling Stones capture them performing onstage surrounded by vibrant orange flames.
