About the image
"I took this photo of James Taylor when we were driving around London together. His first album with Apple had not been released and he had composed “Fire and Rain” but Apple had not heard it yet. He and a girlfriend came to dinner at my girlfriend’s apartment and he said he’d been working on a new song and he played it then and there. I recorded it on a Revox tape recorder I was using from my film school. Apple borrowed the tape but subsequently lost it. A pity."
