Muse, Supermassive Black Hole Single Cover, 2006 (Circle)

This was designed to be the cover of "Supermassive Black Hole," the first single off of Muse's 2006 album, Black Holes and Revelations.

“Some ideas are too fruitful to discard easily, whilst others are too readily jettisoned. Some designs linger to re-emerge years later in some renewed fashion, and some die a quick death unless salvaged temporarily in a magazine, website or book…just like this design for a Muse single called ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ released in the summer of 2006 but Muse refused to use it…. It was simply one of those things…some ideas don’t make it…but we liked this design…. So here it is none the less, but without super massive petulance, just a moderate amount.” - Storm Thorgerson
