Hunter S. Thompson being interviewed on the island of Cozumel, Mexico in 1974 for Playboy magazine. Thompson was in Mexico doing research for The Great Shark Hunt, a collection of essays published in 1979 that covers his earliest writing for the U.S. Air Force, his sports journalism, and his middle years of political and cultural commentary.
