This lovely "Brunette in Yellow Corset," with an uncanny resemblance to Bettie Page, illustrates the way Vargas often used the figure to invent compositions. This is represented in the manner that she is holding her hands, as well as the way she is seated in a void entry environment, suggestive of something to sit on.
