About the image

Blues guitarist Taj Mahal flashes a peace sign at his Topanga Canyon home in this shot from 1968. Mahal has received two Grammy Awards in the Best Contemporary Blues Album category, the first in 1997 for Señor Blues, and again in 2000 for Shoutin' In Key.
