Each One Believing - Dream Tonight, World Tour, 2002

By Bill Bernstein
About the image
A collage designed by Caroline Grimshaw, Paul McCartney's Art Director since 1989, using a combination of photographs taken by Bill Bernstein taken during the 2002-2003 World Tour, including shots of McCartney himself performing, his printed set lists on the floor of the stage, and hand-written lyrics to the legendary Beatles song "The End". The composition uses the specific lyrics "Are you going to be in my dreams tonight?" to create a wonderful visual atmosphere that captures the experience of Paul McCartney's live performance as if in a vivid memory or dream.

These collages are printed on a special paper with a silver metallic foil surface that shimmers and reflects light differently, depending on the opacity of the ink in the image printed on the surface. This creates a fabulous variety of visual textures that adds an even more captivating layer to this unusual piece.

Collector's Note:
All of the artwork from the Each One Believing Collection was only available for collectors to purchase between 2004 and 2006, at exclusive exhibitions held in select galleries around the world. While these pieces are not specifically numbered editions, they are limited to only the quantity that were sold to collectors during those brief exhibitions. Proceeds from the sales of all artwork went to the Adopt-A-Minefield Charitable organization in an effort to help rid the world of land mines.

SFAE hosted this exhibition in April 2006. As all the works were pre-sold, the only pieces that are available come from private collectors wishing to resell their pieces.
