About the image

Jimi sits on an ornate stool with his legs sticking out in front of him, one leather boot resting on the other. He is wearing a trenchcoat draped over his shoulders and has a cravat hanging from his neck. Gered photographed Jimi twice in his studio in London.

According to Gered, Jimi was a fantastic person to photograph because he naturally dressed in all sorts of different fabrics. Here his velvet trousers and leather boots add texture to the crisp shot.
