About the image

When Led Zeppelin passed through San Francisco on its first tour of the United States, the band members asked to be photographed by Herb Greene.

The Acid Age of San Francisco Rock Series
This photograph is part of a portfolio of 39 images that Herb Greene curated to capture the local music scene that launched the Summer of Love.

Release Notes:
Herb Greene's museum-quality photographs were produced as signed, limited edition silver gelatin prints in several sizes from 11" x 14" (open edition in this size) to 30" x 40".

Collector's Notes:
Herb Greene's beautiful hand-signed photographs were printed to order. At the time of his death a very small quantity had been pre-printed and signed for exhibition and/or sale. These pieces are what now make up his estate archive.

We do not yet have news about the potential for estate-authorized/postumous prints.
