About the image
The New York Dolls perform at a showcase gig at Biba's Restaurant in West London.

The Dolls influenced a whole generation of bands, such as Kiss, Blondie, The Clash, Ramones, Dead Boys, Mötley Crüe, Guns N' Roses, The Damned, and Japan. Morrissey (under the name "Steven Morrissey") even wrote a book about them in his pre-Smiths days (he was head of their UK fan club in the 1970s).
