About the image

Johnny Cash flips "the bird" during rehearsal and soundcheck prior to his performance at San Quentin State Prison on February 24, 1969.

"This is probably the most ripped off photograph in the history of the world. There was a TV crew behind me and John was on the side of the stage. I said 'John, let's do a shot for the warden.'" - Jim Marshall

Release Notes:

This is a signed original Lifetime Photograph by Jim Marshall.
