From the legendary "Young Lion" photo-session shot in Joel Brodsky's studio in 1967 that produced many great images of both Jim Morrison and The Doors. This image is one of the most famous portraits ever taken in Rock & Roll and certainly the most iconic image of "The Lizard King".
Joel aptly titled the photo "American Poet" but the image has appeared many times on Doors related albums, books, and other memorabilia. In particular it was used on the front cover of the 1985 compilation album,The Best of the Doors.
