Van Morrison, Astral Weeks Album Cover, 1968

This photograph was used for the front cover of Van Morrison's landmark 1968 LP, Astral Weeks. With frenzied vocals mixed with bizarre stream-of-consciousness lyrics, Astral Weeks has often been compared to an Impressionist painting. As such, it remains a cult favorite in spite of never achieving mainstream commercial success.
