About the image
Bob Dylan and the Rolling Thunder Revue crew played in several small-town venues during their first leg of the tour along the Northeastern Seaboard. Accommodations for the star were starkly different from many of the major music-halls he had played in his career, but this modest space somehow seems fitting for the ‘everyman’ role Dylan seems so rooted to and certainly dispels the concept of lavish diva treatment on tour. This image was later used on the cover of the book On The Road with Bob Dylan by Larry Ratso Sloman published in 1978.
