About the image
Bob Dylan recruited several of the musicians that he had just worked with on his soon-to-be-released album Desire along with a host of other greats, including Joan Baez and Mick Ronson to join him on his long-awaited return to live performances.  In this shot no less than thirteen musicians can be seen performing including Roger McGuinn, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, Joan Baez, Dylan, Scarlet Rivera, Rob Stoner, Ronee Blakely and David Mansfield - among others.  At the end of the night, all the performers would come onstage for Knocking’ on Heaven’s Door.
