About the image

This black and white performance shot of Iggy Pop from 1973 has the feel of a figure study. The photographer and the punk rock icon first met in the late 1960s at the University of Michigan. In his foreward to Goldsmith's book, Rock and Roll, Iggy calls Lynn a true ''rock chick,'' which was, obviously, intended as a compliment.
