The Keystone Korner jazz club at 750 Vallejo Street in San Francisco. The place closed in 1983. "This late, and unquestionably lamented, jazz club hosted too many legendary players to count. Even more remarkably, its patrons weren't obliged to swallow a dose of attitude alongside the inspired innovations. This North Beach nightspot's handle was said to be an ironic reference to the nearby police station." - Erik S. McMahon
